TOTALLY UNCOMMON CHRISTMAS WREATH MAKING WORKSHOP

TOTALLY UNCOMMON CHRISTMAS WREATH MAKING WORKSHOP

Thursday 01 December | 7pm - 9pm

I defy you to think of a better way to spend the first evening of advent than in the cosy Simple Shape Studio-Shop with Bleak House Flowers making your own extraordinary Christmas wreath!

Nope. You can’t, so join us for a relaxed and festive workshop where Tobby from Bleak House will teach you to make a totally unusual 10 inch wreath from start to finish. You’ll be adding lots of texture and aromatic greenery like pine, conifer and juniper, with the choice of extras such as rose-hips, dried flowers and dried fruits. Each wreath will be finished with either a velvet or cotton ribbon.

The workshop will take 2hrs, all tools and equipment provided, just bring an apron or wear something you don’t mind getting a bit dirty!

TIPS FOR WREATHS:

Wreaths are traditionally made with seasonal evergreen foliage, but anything can be added. Use cuttings from the garden or that you’ve gathered from the wild.

Look out for climbers and seed pods, like old man’s beard or hops, flower heads, grasses, etc. just insert them into the moss base to add a personal touch.

Keep your moss base moist by misting, it can keep the wreath looking fresher for longer.

If you have a dried flower / everlasting  wreath, keep it in a dust cover and place it somewhere dark and cool to reuse it year after year.
