MACRAME PLANT HANGER WORKSHOP

We are hosting a workshop with Katie Mitchell, founder of By-Me, where you will learn to wrap and knot your way to a fully finished Spiral Macrame Plant Hanger.
When I set up Simple Shape I committed to working with good people, making good things. I wrote it in my business plan and I have been lucky enough to make this happen (almost without exception!). It is brilliant to be able to use the Simple Shape shop space to share these good people and their skills with you.
So, meet Katie. She has a background in textile design and visual merchandising and now spends her time running her business: By-Me. She creates macrame plant hangers, wall hangings and accessories using only recycled cotton cord. And, she is local to us in South East London too, which is a bonus!
THE WORKSHOP
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN: Katie will guide you through each step, from start to finish, including learning the wrapped, spiral, square knot and lots of useful tips and techniques. You will leave with a finished plant hanger that you can use immediately or gift, plus the knowledge to make your own.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING: absolutely nothing! You will be given a macrame kit made from 100% recycled cotton. There will be different colour options to choose from.
SKILLS: you don’t need to have any previous experience at all.
NOTES: This will be a fun, friendly and productive couple of hours. You will be greeted with a glass of fizz and leave with a finished product. It is a ticketed event.
