BROCKLEY OPEN STUDIO x MIMI SOAN x SIMPLE SHAPE
As a small local business it’s excellent to have the opportunity to take part in events that align with all your values: art, craft, creativity, making and community. BROCKLEY OPEN STUDIO does just that.
I am really delighted to be hosting an exhibition by artist (and my neighbour!) MIMI SOAN in the Simple Shape Studio-Shop. Mimi’s creative talent stretches across many media at multiple scales. She paints large street art murals, draws fine illustrations, and makes a range of characterful animal ‘plushies’ using up-cycled materials. Her work is wonderfully playful, sensitive and distinctive and, in my opinion, captures something of childhood, which is very special.
If you are in the neighbourhood next weekend please come along and say hello, Mimi will be here to tell you about her work. PLUS the shop will be open with our collection of handmade, crafted homewares all by British and Irish designer-makers. The whole BOS trail includes 40+ artists so there is plenty to see.
